I think the loot variety feels much better than 2 but the story is really terrible. Also, grifters really claiming victory that Borderlands 4 is at $70 like they listened to them when they didn't. Just look at the deluxe editions. $100 for deluxe edition and $130 for super deluxe edition. They tricked you with the anchoring effect to get you at the price they want.

I honestly would not. the difference in gameplay from 2 didn't seem significant and the story was so shite it turned me off immensely.
It wasn't the villains or the gay stuff or whatever.
Its how this is the first borderlands to ever take your entire role as the big damn hero getting everything done and shove you aside like chopped meat to hand over all the status and exposition to a random girl.
Because they decided that as a surprise you only get to have relevance to the story if you are a siren class, the special rare limited edition woman with special powers class.
If you play the siren you supposedly get some extra relevance but even then you get shoved aside.
And you just are forced to take let it happen and be irrelevant despite being the ONLY reason shit gets done.
Nothing you do matters to the people who owe you their lives.
You are just a disposable minion orbiting them.
It was beyond disgusting.
Borderlands is supposed to be about the Vault Hunters.
The player characters.
Its about YOUR journey and your impact on the world.
And they drew us all in knowing we would expect that only to outright KEK us.

Got it free on Epic a while ago. Played through it and it was kinda just ok at best. The playable characters/classes weren't as fun as the ones in 2, the story was bad and the banter was worse. If BL2 was a 6/10, BL3 would be a 3.5-4/10.
