Yeah, that looks like Morrowind alright: a lot of trash pretending to be something it isn't.
Recycling used to be an actual good, profitable service back when they only recycled metal, glass and paper. It all went to shit when they started trying to force plastic into it, even though almost no plastic is recyclable. Fuck plastic.

I agree, although even recycling paper seems largely useless. Recycling plastic was pushed by corpos because people started feeling iffy about all the plastics they were using.
Also fun fact, the idea of a personal carbon footprint was invented by british petroleum.

Recycling is a meme to outsource the expensive process of sorting the valuable plastic from the worthless trash to the useful idiot goyim masses.
(You) are working for FREE so that Mr. Plastikberg can sell his plasrictrash to chinks without having to pay a dime on sorting while dumping the rest into the ocean.
He gets rich while you basedface on Instagram about (((saving the planet))) like your favorite Marvel hero, it's perfect.

it's effectively an impossible task due to the sheer volume of traffic they have to process
if someone manages to disguise something enough to not show up on metal detectors that's really all it takes; they don't check anything that doesn't show up on the machine partly because they don't have time
that said, you will get harassed over innocuous shit like an electronic that just looks like of weird on the xray and all the agents i've dealt with seem to be perpetually pissed off

i always find it funny when i see something made of "100% recycled material!" and it's basically just a pulp forced into some simple shape, like ok dude whatever
there's only like two grades of plastic that's possible to effectively recycle and it's usually expensive

paper doesn't really recycle well, it can't be cleaned like plastic can if it comes in dirty and it isn't easy to re-make into other paper products. recycled paper usually has more crude uses since the most you can hope to do is make it into a pulp

Meanwhile other countries are literally using trash instead of coal or selling the trash to countries that need scrap/waste. In California we had trash, recycle, plant trimmings, and facilities for lithium batteries/chemicals. When I moved to the Midwest all you get a trash bin and if you want to recycle they charge you extra for the other bin but it's entirely optional and 99% of the people here don't have one just to save money.

Exactly, and even when paper does make it through the recycling process, it’s usually downcycled—like turned into insulation, egg cartons, or that scratchy brown crap they use in public bathroom paper towels. It can’t just be turned back into crisp printer paper unless it's super clean and barely used. Half the time it's more efficient to just use virgin pulp, which is why most "recycled" paper stuff is like 30% recycled content at best. Greenwashing at peak form.

Morrowind is like a Schizo Simulator for people who’ve read too much Nietzsche and think 3D spreadsheets with floaty combat are the apex of game design. It’s not even about enjoying the game anymore—it becomes a lifestyle, a religion. You say one word against it and suddenly there’s a Tribunal cult in your replies chanting about “lore density” and “player agency.” Bro I just asked why every cliff racer has a personal vendetta against me.
