>>712882774 (OP) I got massive buyers remorse from this game and couldn't finish the campaign. I really couldn't stand how everything scaled with you. I enjoy RPGs and enjoy the feeling of progression. Not long after I got Fantasy Life which is 100000000x better in every way and enjoyed that immensely.
youtubers implanted the idea that oblivion was an old school gem into the minds of trillions of zoomers. the remaster didnt live up to the ideal, obviously, since it wasnt ever that good.

>>712882774 (OP) Yeah I've got buyers remorse too. Bethesda games just aren't fun anymore after you grow up. What was it like when you were a kid? I remember making these spelled weapons named after significant people in my life. It just felt so limitless. Now it just feels shallow, boring.

There's not that much to discuss for a remake of a game that's so old and well known People who were interested in it played through it and that was that - there wasn't much more on offer which is fine because not every game needs unending conversations on this hellhole
>>712882774 (OP) Zoomers can't into open world games, unless there are constant direction markers, quest indicators, point of interest highlights and handholding. There is no natural and organic hype for remakes and remasters, it's all just marketing. The more streamers they pay to play the game = the more zoomers will mindleslly buy it, just to play for 20 minutes and move on to another Twitch hype game.,
the average normie or zoomie have their attention spans so fried a game like this is like giving a million piece jigsaw puzzle to a autistic retard. they want fortnite call of duty and coomer anime shit.
oblivions remake doesn't bode well for the next elder scrolls desu >been in development for the entirety of the past 2 elections + yeesh, hate to be a new AAA game that was developed in those years
>>712885691 >Zoomers can't into open world games, unless there are constant direction markers, quest indicators, point of interest highlights and handholding. Talking about oblivion btw

>>712891727 >played it >enjoyed it >moved on It's good, as good as it was in 2006. But that also means it isn't as good as Skyrim. Maybe for people who really love to play magic casters and really dive into the spell crafting but for me, who just has no interest in anything magical, Skyrim is just better.
>>712892003 yes playing a melee or archer character in oblivion is objectively worse than skyrim. But then again Oblivion has funnier sidequests so it evens out.

>>712882774 (OP) its the same exact game with ugly """modern""" graphics. what do you expect?
It's kind of weird how a huge chunk of the map is just a huge load of nothing. Aside from Cheydinhal near the top, that entire right third of the map is pretty much empty. Same with that huge blank spot on the left side, just a few forts and whatnot scattered around.
>>712882831 In terms of combat, it nerfed hand to hand and two-handed for no reason. H2h doesn't scale with fatigue anymore and knockdowns were removed. H2h was made slower.

>>712893490 Due to the way the game is designed, you are actually punished for sleeping to level up. The only reason to even level up is if you want to wear higher level gear for shits and giggles.
