>Shulk has a sword that allows him to see in the future and prevent his friends from dying, is placed in multiple scenarios throughout the game where his stupidity should have lead to severe consequences, only to have Deus Ex Machina step in and spare him from any hardships (such as literal Deus Ex Machina boulder scene with Mumkhar being the biggest culprit of this), has a party whose only purpose and story development is to progress HIS story and development, suffers no ill effects or consequences from Zanza's body sharing escapades, and claims his happy ending at the end of the story (including plot magicking away Fiora's condition so that she's a perfect human girl again) while other characters are relegated to having their entire family or race eradicated, with Shulk basically giving them a pat on the back and saying "It's okay to be okay".
