I only ever hear Atlus fans go on and on about “quality of life.” It’s not like it’s never used to describe another company’s game, but it’s a fixation for Atlus fans. Atlus has this habit of streamlining the fuck out of their games and sanding off every edge, so I guess that’s what’s caused this expectation.
Also, Persona 4 doesn’t need a remake. This is one of the top most pointless remakes I’ve seen yet. There comes a point where any flaws you can fix will just be replaced by new ones. You’re gonna make a perfect game here. Only a genuine failure of a game “needs” a remake. Not Persona 4. A game that’s already very streamlined to begin with.

P3Reload was a really nice update visuals and gameplay wise but everything surrounding the story presentation is objectively worse. The voice acting is garbage in english and jap, the story changes are garbage, a lot of nice memorable moments were removed, game has been westernized to hell.

P4 remake is gonna be even worse considering half of the game's story is literally considered unnaceptable in post 2020 society. The game literally has big story moments where a girl realizes that being trans is a counter productive thing that will only result in her life going worse, and a guy realizing that he should not make his attraction to guys an important aspect of his life.
