Do you think this trend will continue or will third parties wise up and start giving people what they actually want, that is REAL physical versions?

Third parties will ALWAYS go for the cheapest option. Game Key Cards are here to stay.

They're not real Switch 2 carts, they're just the old, slower Switch 1 carts but with the upgrade patch pre-installed. They're even still usable on a Switch 1:

No way to know until we have sales data. I tried to look up Bravely Default HD remaster on Amazon but no one is selling it (lol). The only way to go by for now is to count the number of user reviews for retailer listings, Amazon being the easiest to know if stock is moving or not. That company NIS America put out Disgaea 7 Complete Edition and no stock move in 24 hours for its Game Key Card slop.
So anecdotally speaking I believe Game Key Cards are a massive failure in the retail market. Going into 2026 hopefully the prices of physical cartridges for Switch 2 will lower for corporations to go back to those. Since this is /neo /v/ Third World/ of South America, Southeast Asia, India, China, and Eastern Europe turdies they'll say something like all Switch 2 games are game key cards. Nintendo 1st party are all on the cart and so is Cyberpunk 2077 on the cart. 3rd worldies can't afford a Switch 2 so alas impotent range is all they can do on 4chan.
