>>712920946>And fuck the pajet demake.I recently completed this version, and it was fine. Driving is improved, the notorious bullshit missions have been tweaked to be more reasonable, the overhauled combat system lends further assistance to the player, cars have increased longevity in the world and no longer disappear during cutscenes, meaning you can take a vehicle of your choosing to a mission and still be at its wheel when that mission is over. With the new Classic Lighting feature added in the last update, the cities in all three of the DE games look better than the originals; yes, you can nitpick individual textures here and there, but taken in whole the remastered cities are plainly upgrades, superior to anything achieved by mods, though still below the quality of production we were all hoping for when this edition was announced.
These are the real issues with the DE:
1) Incomplete radio music. This one doesn't bother me because I tired of all these songs the first time around, and I always replace the game music with my own playlists, but I understand that this is a sore point for others and I agree that a "Definitive" edition should have all the parts in place, especially parts that for many players were essential to the identity of the games.
2) On a related point, touching again on this question of completeness, I feel that both Liberty and Vice City Stories should have been part of this package. I mean, why the fuck not?
3) Ugly character models with warping limbs. The original models are ugly too, and the new ones don't exactly look worse, but they don't look any better either. This is particularly a problem in San Andreas. I don't think this will ever be fixed in future.
