I'm realizing Fire Emblem is the only good SRPG series. Every other game I play in this genre is slow and boring as shit with terrible UI and literally no strategy involved. You just take turns attacking each other in a pile in the center of the map. They're basically jarpigs which I hate and am to intelligent to enjoy.

Xcom was good too but it's been killed and Firaxis as a studio is terrible now (see Civ VII).
Every other SRPG series is two decades behind because they don't consistently make games. The only way you improve in a certain activity is by doing it, and if a studio goes 20 years without making a new game (lol SE and FFT), they will not improve in their craft.
