Granblue Fantasy Versus players seem to be happy, although I have no idea whether the game is good or not. City of the Wolves is good but imbalanced and dying, not just because it's imbalanced. Rivals of Aether 2 is fun and relatively balanced; however, people can't agree whether the anthropomorphic animal characters are "too furry" or "not furry enough", instead of just playing the fucking video game.

Or you could be like every other fighting game player and just drag your feet playing your first fighting game for a decade, jerking off to your hypothetical perfect fighting game which will never exist, and wondering why the genre is dying.

Not that anon, but I personally play with a GameCube controller because it feels natural to me coming from Smash, but I know even some Smash players play with, like, a Switch pro controller or an 8bitdo. Some players even play on keyboard or leverless, which is wild to me.
Also, I'm reserving my judgment about the balance patch.

It was made to be separate and doesn't play anything like it. But they failed to convince people. So you had many people before launch dismissing the game because they don't like KoF, or the opposite of KoF fans hyped to play something similar and getting disappointed. Also people thinking "SNK players" were gonna dominate the tournament scene as if "SNK players" was a thing.
