I know yellow paint is the topic to complain about, but I always found characters narrating to themselves what they're supposed to be doing at every given moment even more annoying.
No reason you can't just have this as text instead of wasting the time voicing "Huh, I gotta FIND CLUES with my DETECTIVE VISION to continue this case"
