it's just tedious and not fun. you have to ride for minutes at a time through the same areas over and over again with no variation for a few seconds of underwhelming cover based gunplay. it never feels like the game comes into its own. it's like they half-finished the gameplay and just tried to pad out everything surrounding it as much as possible, dripfeeding you actual interactions so you never notice how shallow and unsatisfying they are.

Building is fun for a while, but zonai shit doesn't do enough damage and the parts cost way too much, don't last long, and despawn all the time. Did two dungeons and they were just as boring as the divine beasts in BotW. I finished BotW cause it was unique at the time. TotK feels like a less focused version of BotW and I just can't be arsed to care to finish it.

i only played the second game- and i only played the raid mode which i think unlocks after you have a save file in the campaign. so i was forced to play the campaign for 20 minutes i think. i played the raid mode for something like 20 hours. insanely fun but room for improvement. Capcom could literally just make a standalone game which is only raid mode and it would have a large playerbase if it had enough missions and characters.
