>Has some of the best roleplaying freedom in the genre"""RPGs""" like Dragon Age Origins or Ass Effect usually have either shitty basic choices where you act like a good guy, an angry bad guy, or a funny clown guy, or "complex morally gray" choices except it's two railroaded branches with stupid pros and cons. New Vegas not only allows much more freedom, but also usually offers dialog that's basic and vague enough to project MANY more possible personalities into, which enhances complex roleplaying.
>An actually decent builcrafting systemEach weapon class has its advantages, different armor classes have their advantages, SPECIAL is one of the best attribute systems on the market because most builds can make use of every stat with some exceptions (Charisma not being good enough to bother with, or Explosives builds ironically needing no Perception at all). Almost every attribute system in other RPGs is gay trash where if you're a warrior - you just pump up STR and END to 500 and leave all the other stats at 1. Also the fact that SPECIAL goes 1 to 10 gives the system a very distinct sense of scale. 10 is human peak. 1 is barely capable. In other RPGs without properly defined limits on stats you have no idea if 100 STR is a lot or if 150 is a lot or if 500 is a lot, because nobody bothered to make the system in a way that actually reflects the abilities of the person possessing the attributes.
There you go. Both narrative and gameplay wise it's a stellar RPG rivaled by very few, possibly none. Shit like BG3 where your dialog choices boil down to "Have gay sex", "kiss goblin foot", and "kill everyone and rape their babies" will always job to New Vegas in the eyes of knowers that see beyond the surface level bullshit that captivates normalfags so much, like being able to kill anyone (which should be a bare minimum for a real RPG, not some kind of epic superfeature).
