When I played borderlands I disabled the dialog and had a fast forward to skip walking from one place to another.
If your game has fast travel, its because the movement in your game isn't fun.

With a little digging it seems that since then the hack devs have crawled out of their assholes and said they would remove the anti-speedup entirely but I don't know if they've actually released that update.

Wait I don't get it. If the romhack doesn't have a built in speed up option what is preventing you from just using a speed option from within the emulator itself? So who cares if they do or don't include it, you can use one anyway.

But uhhhhhhhhhh there's just really never a case for blocking cheats and such when it comes to solo content like this. At best there's a very small fringe of people that would actually be positively affected by such a change, and it's never worth the much larger amount of people you're inconveniencing because you thought you knew better or despise genuine cases and don't consider them valid. I've experienced this more often than I like with any game that has an accessible dev console in the vanilla client, cuz usually that shit's necessary before the game starts getting messed with, let alone getting to your new shit.

When you dev a game, you get to decide. It's that simple, anything else is other people trying to control what you create to their tastes which is massively gay.

I played Pokémon blue with a 10x speed toggle button. Was able to finish the whole game in like 2 hours, was fun as shit to play without all the waiting and to level up quickly
