Any surge in activity is due to OCs/Avatarfags coming out of hiding to post together and then fucking off again. Since they will use any tactic to deflect, ignore and "make fun" of detractors the best thing you can do is ignore them and the thread entirely. Jannys clearly have no interest in getting rid of it

Wait until you find out that the mods only lurk maybe twice a day for a few minutes before returning to their IRC circlejerk. And in their daily patrols, they disregard/selectively enforce the rules and just ban posters that personally upset them.

AIslop threads are protected because they don't include "flame wars" or casual racism. That makes them reddit friendly which means it's okay and they can stay up indefinitely.
