I like how tight the level design is, it's very similar to a "metroidvania" style game, in that there are specific areas of the space station that are gated by equipment or ability upgrades (some of which can be sequence broken no doubt) and you're given quite a bit of freedom in determining how to solve the game's various problems. what I dislike is the fucking skilltrees, and I wish it was less focused on build-a-character than it giving you a specific set of tools with which you can use in a variety of ways. for instance, the gloo gun is a good tool because you can use it as a weapon in conjunction with other weapons for approaching specific enemies, but you can also use it to help you better explore the environment. we need more shit like that, items and abilities whose utility is multifaceted. psychic powers are cool but they're a lot less based in utility than I would've first thought.
