This is just an analogy, though. It's to show that you only get to the top if you align yourself with the dominant culture. The eccentric people who will see the reference to video games as a chance to do something weird full of references to obscure games they like because they have deep knowledge of the medium are not working in big studios. Those who work in big studios are a homogeneous group totally aligned with corporate values, and when they think of video games, they immediately imagine "Nintendo", the king of soulless corporate games, the god of normalfags.
