I think I may have actually "grown out" of Nintendo games. Or I just find them unappealing now. I haven't cared for a Nintendo made game in years save for Rhythm Heaven Groove coming out next year, but I'm getting that on Switch 1...and it'll be the first new game I bought for my Switch in a long time. I don't want to be a sports junky, but that seems like the route I'm naturally taking.

It is helping to convince me, but not quite yet. Got to see Metroid Prime 4 to see if it is actually worth it. Not to mention I have to see sales data. If the console fell off, it is still possible for Nintendo to price drop everything. If not, the future of gaming is set and I might as well enjoy myself right now, while Nintendo is content with 70-80 dollars, instead of thinking they can get away with 90-100.

This new DK game looks interesting lore-wise but gameplay is meh. DK works in 2d, also no playable Diddy.

Probably not. I got burned out on Mario Odyssey before finishing it the first time, and this doesn't look like it's all that far removed.
Besides, the first-party game I'm really looking forward to is still coming to the previous system.

You can lose your switch by someone inserting a flash cart, so I won't be buying with this obvious security risk.
