they're basically the same as buying digital except you can sell them if you want which was something people disliked about digital. games now have major updates throughout the product life or significant online components anyways, so a physical copy is kind of useless anyways. only real issue is managing memory space which could get annoying.

Yeah, ans they replaced the physical editions of games hence why they are hated. They took away something from you, the option to buy a physical copy. Anyone who isn't a retard should be mad at options being taken from you

That's nice but I'm still not buying anything but real physical games.

Because they're a pretense. A digitally-downloaded game is still a digitally-downloaded game, whether they're tied to a piece of plastic that will be completely useless in a decade or not. (Codes in boxes are also incredibly cancerous.)

ok, but i think that assumes the games wouldn't just be digital only if the key cards didn't exist in which case you wouldn't even be able to sell them

i respect that and have lots of retro physical games myself, but with modern games what's the use of having 1.0 on a cart when so many are significantly updated after launch, have digital add-ons, or online stuff? there are exceptions but it's not like in the old days when a game basically stayed the same after launch

that's my point, they're basically download games except you can sell the license if you don't want to pplay any more, which is an improvement from a straight download with no ability to resell. they explain what it is on the box, so if you are able to read I don't think nintendo is pulling a fast one on anybody

I only buy like 10 games on a nintendo console so why would I not want the best possible version?

They wouldn't be digital only.
