Was sega CD the first "movie game" console? Half the fucking games were interactive FMV shit.

I remember getting a Sega CD, and that morning playing Ecco the Dolphin on my great grandmother's TV. The music in that game was awesome. I also got Sewer Shark as a pack-in, and couldn't really figure it out, despite enjoying the FMV sequences. I would have a handful of other Sega CD games, but my favorite was The Secret of Monkey Island.

The 3DO was $699, while the SNES or Genesis could be had for around $130 at the time and usually came with a bundle game. Consider that this is 1993 dollars and the decision was a no-brainer for parents.
