I have a PS5 and I dont think I've bought a single exclusive game. All of snoys first party games for the last 6 or 7 years have been shit.

Re-read the statement nigga, it isn't saying they are only going to be releasing 1 game a year it's that they'll be looking to at least release 1 game from one of their major series like God of War a year, something they think will sell millions aka tentpole games. This also doesn't include any times exclusives they paid for or funded like DS2 or Stellar Blade, which aren't from first party studios but second party studios.

Well I mean we kinda know their games. I assume they consider this years big game to be Ghost of Yotei, then the 2026 game will be Wolverine, then the 2027 game will be that awful looking Naughty dog space game. then 2028 will probably be a new spider-man spin off with venom or something, then 2029 will probably be another horizon game.

This. I think only one I bought was Spiderman 2, that was meh. God of War was decent and Tsushima. I'm getting Death Stranding 2 but that's also timed exclusive anyway. Skipped Horizon, TLOU2 etc

Whats the last good first party exclusive. Ghost of Tsushima that's a PS4 game. At this rate we can expect one new game from Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Insomniac, Santa Monica a year and none of them have released or will release a game that will actually be good...

I think tsushima was good, but before that only gow comes to mind, the not ragnarok one. So they have like 1 or 2 good "timed" (((exclusives))) per gen atm. Resi VRs were also good but I only got tonexperience that since I got psvr2 50% off and only because you can also use it one pc. It was mostly to push my pc upgrade back and a play with frens machine and since that can mostly done from pc now too I probably will skip ps6.

They're still betting on third parties, gacha, fortnite etc to save them. I don't think xbox is a serious threat no matter what they do but PC is growing in popularity and Switch 2 is gonna steal a lot of sales from them

The only reason not to is the fact that i have 17 years of games on my psn account. Tons of files, DLC and shit like that that can't be transferred. If anything I'll still have my ps5 and ps3 to play them on when the urge arises, but the thought of pretty much starting over on fresh hardware is a bit daunting. That, and the thought of having to drop large amounts of money every few years so I can keep playing new games just sounds like a bad investment - console is a one time purchase, I dont do mid-generation upgrades to pro versions
