Finished this some weeks ago, first time. Really enjoyed it, but took me a good while.
The last fight kinda sucked and the reveal is meh. DLC was stellar, though.

I don't understand why, at release I had fun, I'm replaying it now (to try white march and get around playing poe2) and half the time, reading dialogue is a fucking core. I remember the game being a grey slog where everything scream "fantasy world is having a depression" but not the text being that boring.

DLC was fantastic, main game was a slog for the last third. Eder, Durnace, Greving Mother and Devil of Caroc were extremely fleshed out companions.

i finished pentiment some days ago and thought it was really self indulgent but had some good moments. sawyer seems to know how to write but really could benefit from an editor that keeps him from degenerating into his cuck mindset.

The build complexity feels really meh and is all really based on stat selection made in the first minute of playtime. Somehow they made a worse system than DnD 4e, when they were being funded to revive 3.5e type games
