Starsector is quite a bit different from Rimworld.
Think of it as mount and blade in space with top down mechwarrior combat.
Game gives you quite a bit of freedom with how you want to play/level up. Also deep space is dangerous, scary and rewarding.
Highly recommend.

Most likely not, multithreading will probably fuck up a lot of things. Best shot after the update is to let the mods that updated alongside 1.6 update and then try to run your colony. I always just take new updates as an opportunity to do a fresh playthrough. This update in my opinion, is one of the biggest ones Rimworld has had ever in terms of QoL, so it's super worth abandoning a colony if you can't get it to work.

I think the outdoor dining area is genuinely really novel even if it might be hell during winter times but the fridge seems way too small for my taste (But I usually make fucking huge stockpiles I guess) and also your billion colonists have to go through the kitchen to pick up the food which makes it more dirty. I think you should make an outward facing door in the fridge and do some zoning so they can pick up their food without making the kitchen a food poisoning hazard.

Don't get me wrong, it looks very solid, I was just wanting something more along the lines of faction interaction, diplomacy, world interaction, etc.
As it looks right now, I don't really feel incentivized to buy it considering I already have all the mods it took inspiration from downloaded and won't get anything new out of it except a performance upgrade. If it turns out it has features like SOS2's continue save where you enter statis on your ship and can start on a new planet, except less buggy, then yes, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Either way, I'll buy it eventually, I've bought all the dlc so far, just haven't see anything yet that's making me want to buy this day 1.

If Rimworld had just 3 Z levels, it would be perfect. One above ground, and one underground. That's all it needs. But that would require almost a complete rework of the AI for literally everything so it's probably not gonna happen.
