Bosses in FS games are also a bit random. Sometimes they passive, sometimes they agressive as fuck. Sometimes they'll make two-hit combo, sometimes they decided to add a third one and also chain it with their even more dangerous attack. On my try when I beat Malenia she just rng spammed a couple super easy to dodge moves and the scarlett blossom (which was also easy to dodge), and I killed her easily. If she spammed waterfowl or the hay afterimage attack I would have been stuck for much longer.
