Haven't beaten it yet (im on one of the final bosses) but its alright. The story is cool. My only complaints are that it gets really grindy at a few spots. Most of the time you progress through an area fighting dudes along the way and thats enough experience to keep you leveled up with the enemies the game throws at you, but there are a few times where I went through an area and then the boss was a massive cockblock many levels ahead of me and I had to leave and go grind for a while.

The only ones that should give you trouble are unique enemies, the fuck? Only one (1) (un) story boss should be an issue, and that's near endgame.

Back in 2013, I was checking a local game store and they had a copy of Xenoblade. I'd heard the name but knew nothing of it, but since it was only $20, decided to pick it up on a whim.
Got home, put the disc in, and ended up playing for 15 hours in a row. Since then the Xenoblade series has become one of my favorites ever.

In short, the game's pretty good.

Why are these games so long??
I only finished XBX DE after 120 hours. But that's only the first ending not the actual new ending I've still yet to see.

I hate this game
>Combat plays itself, it's the same shit as FF12 where you watch the trifecta of Tank/Healer/DPS do it's thing where the tank take damage, the healer heal the tank and the DPS actually makes the fight go forward
>All side quests are "bring 5 wolf pelt" tier, extremely easy to overlevel
>If you are 5 level (not sure this was the right number) below an enemy all your attack miss unless you stun the enemy, this is the only challenge you'll find in the game
>The open world sucks and makes things take 3 times as much as they should, especially when it comes finding quest NPCs
>Lastly the plot of the game borders on parody
Genuinely think if it was another PS2 RPG instead of being published by Nintendo it would have been completely forgotten

The setting is fantastic the story is pretty good if not a little poorly paced at times, has a great cast with a fantastic dub and an incredible soundtrack combat is functional but poorly balanced, the community affinity system is an interesting mechanic the two things that really lets it down are the quests, outside a few of the longer more meaty questline the literal hundreds of basic bitch fetch quests and go to X kill Y really kill off the mid game after eryth sea and the way the game throws Exp at you its nigh impossible to not overlevel while being a completionist because of the multiple point of no returns.

Totally get it. The OG models definitely had that crunchy early Wii lookโ€”Shulkโ€™s face looked like it was molded from wet clay. Still, there's a charm to how jank it all appears in a โ€œlate-night GameCube fever dreamโ€ sort of way. And yeah, the length can be brutal unless you're in it for the long haul. But once it clicks, itโ€™s like watching a slow-burn anime mixed with British soap opera energy.

-Amazing environments and music. Having the player level up just from exploring was a wonderful idea.
-Combat is a complete and utter mess, you'll still be doing tutorials for it 30 hours into the game
-Writing is atrocious, convoluted to the point of ridiculousness. Rife with anime brainrot.
-Characters designs are awful

7/10 game, worth playing for point 1. Better than the sequels.

In DE they added a thing called Expert Mode, where all the XP you get from non-combat activities, like exploration and quests, is saved instead of being instantly applied. This means you don't become massively overleveled just by doing side content. You can also use that menu to level down at will, or use any of that saved XP to quickly level up.
This is particularly important in XC1 since the game has a system where if you're over 5 levels above an enemy, they basically can't hit you at all, removing any challenge from the combat.

Old models are fine too. I just prefer the new ones.
Ideally, the new models would follow a similar style of the old artwork. The closest I can think of is Shulk's rendering in Smash, although that could still be improved.

There's a secondary bonus to it as well. Skill points and art points are earned from enemies based on your level relative to them. In the wii version this would mean that eventually your level would get too high for monsters to give meaningful amounts leading to skills trees and arts taking a lot longer to level. In DE since you can level down you'll always be able to get the appropriate amount.

The gacha one is Xenoblade 2.
You summon blades, blades are characters that follow you, have their own designs, personalities, powers, quests, etc, and they lend you their weapon during fights.
You summon blades by using crystals, and you have a very low chance of getting a rare 5 stars blade. Otherwise, you are likely getting generic blades.

A relentless shilling campaign. You have to remember that back when this game came out, influencers didn't even exist as a concept yet. Now, every couple of months we have to see some new game get spammed by shills and shouted out by internet personalities as the second coming of Christ and single greatest thing ever created, despite being utterly mediocre. E33 is one such mediocre title that will be forgotten.

There's two types of sidequests. There's the generic "kill x enemies/bring y materials" that are just called "Collection Quest" or things like that, those just give money.
The other sidequests that have actual names do give EXP. You also get EXP just by discovering locations and landmarks in the map.

Move on.

Maybe they should care about it, seeing it's one of their finest games.

Did you play the HD version or the original Wii version? There's a big difference here. The original Wii version showered you in so much exp if you did even 1/3 of the side quests available. Bosses would be hitting you for double digit in damage while your party's HP would be in the thousands. You'd be that over leveled if you did your side quests.

Beautiful game, even if the remaster downgraded it visually

When do you think Xenoblade 1 will be added to nintendo music if even the 15th anniversary wasnโ€™t a good enough occasion to add it?

It was amazing, and by far the best out of the three rainfall games
Looking at the franchise nowadays it's fucking crazy to think that NoA was going to completely ignore this game
