The whole point of the first half of the case is that Godot and Atmey are tricking Phoenix to “prove” Atmey stole the urn so he has an alibi for the murder. They’re working together to fuck with Phoenix’s head, and telling him he’s up against a badass super-prosecutor is part of it.

Godot did nothing alike. He was was completely carried by Atmeys scheme, which in retrospect was completely unnecessary because he would have gotten away if he didn't make himself the culprit of the first case.

This thread is making me feel a lot better about temporarily dropping this game. I last remember doing the case with the French chef and programmer with the CD, and was so fucking tired of everything and the old man with the red nose. I'm still gonna go back to it cause I wanna play the whole series but goddamn this sucks compared to 1 and 2.
