Why are all the best WW2 games all vehicle combat simulators?

CoD WW2 isn't a vehicle sim and the campaign is very good

i prefer multiplayer fps that let me play as the germans tho

Try Easy Red 2. Mixed vehicle and infantry and plane combat. It's basically modern battlefield 1942, but can run on a potato and looks pretty decent.
