This game is a masterpiece, it's not as complex as Order of Ecclesia in level design but it's just so smooth to replay.

Upgraded cross kills most bosses in seconds. Though yeah 8-way whipping does turn most sub-weapons useless, especially the axed.

Holy shit taste. I'm a bit afraid to ask, but you do realize that characters in classicvanias and igavanias move differently? That, along with the arcade-y linear nature of the former means that "good" enemy placements are very different.
Also, classicvanias are much more tightly packed, while OoE is a bizarre half-measure exemplified by the fact that there are (for some inane reason) both corridor areas and "real" areas.

They made the Vampire Killer really broken in this game. Though the cross is still a great subweapon anyways.
