If Nintendo had achievements more people would buy 3rd parties on the Switch 2.
This is a hard truth. Many tendies would buy games just to be able to brag about their Nintendie score or something.
Sony and Xbox fans already do this.
Even i buy games on steam during deep sales even if i could pirate just for the Achievements because they are fun to me and also function as a sort of backlog tracker for me.

Nintendo consumers tend to be financially wealthy people with careers and families.

Why do people care about achievements so much?
If the game would actually benefit from something like achievements, they'd probably include them in-game. Instead of being enforced server side from the platform provider, with developers being pressured into including them instead of adding them because it actually makes sense for the game.

if a publisher is crying that his game didn't sold well on Switch 2 launch, it's his own dumb fault for trying to fight against MKW. Randoms saying that "Switch 2 owners don't buy 3rd party games" are the same that will ignore any other 3rd party sale when GTA6 releases.
