Is the best remake ever made worth a replay? Of course it is. I always thought the build variety wasn't great, but it's certainly better than the originals since you can evolve certain mons that had stunted evolutions like Yanma, Sneasel, Piloswine, Murkrow, Aipom, and so on. On top of that you have some Gen 4 mons you can aquire before post game and then the added Gen 1 evos that were introduced in Gen 2 and Gen 4. Man these games are great. It was the last time GF gave a fuck other than BW. I'm both happy and sad this was my introduction to pokemon.

Yes. Both games fix all the problem their previous incarnations had. But I'd at least play Emerald as well. I enjoyed that game and it was the first game where I actually tried to get a living dex.

It's overrated. You should play it, but the dex is shittier than Platinum's. Like every encounter after the 4th gym is a under level shitmon from Kanto and they removed the VS Seeker so grinding in this game is shit. I first played it in 2015 and thought it was boring af.
