Persona is a very japanese game, as in most of the time characters interacting with many uniquely japanese cultural themes. Another country could be interesting but I dont trust Persona devs to do it justice like they have with their home country

Persona can't ever tell a good story again, mostly due to the nature of the self-insert mc. The gameplay revolves around you "juggling life sim" and making decisions, which are supposed to be impactful, but aren't in the long run. You either get to see more or less side content, but it does nothing for the overall plot.

P1 and P2 differed, you could make decisions here and there but they only marginally affected gameplay (ultimate personae). You'd still see the entirety of the plot unfold, and characters were still themselves despite whatever dialogue you picked. No social links to define character growth, it just happened during the story. No "punching bag pathetic beta" sidekick character like Yosuke and Ryuji. At least Junpei gets an arc of his own, but P3 is still pretty shit by comparison to the former games. Honestly, after the crock of shit Atlus has been releasing for the past 10 or so years, how could anyone be remotely hyped for P6
