I would recommend Expedition 33, the game hooks you up from the start and keeps your attention throughout, and it's a story that will both appeal to men and women. On the gameplay side it's very simple, yes you have the dodge and parry system but as a whole the game is not very demanding and friendly to someone who doesn't play video games, at no points it asks you to chain complex actions or make split second decisions.

I was super into reading and then after high school I've only stuck with manga, haven't read a western book since.

feel like after I've consumed all the YA books and stuff like Altered Carbon, Red Mars, Nueromancer, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and other sci-fi series like Foundation, I just didn't find any modern sci-fi or realistic fiction or non-fiction interesting.
I like history, was the only subject I was good at, maybe I should read some historical stuff.
