Im really hoping HAL reigns Sakurai in and tells him that more games exist beyond Superstar. Its crazy to me that the most he would do in smash is add like a song or two or change a final smash and thats it.

Roleplaying in the limitless City Trial mode was like 90% of my playtime in that game. Mostly pretending different parts of the map were my "house" with my one autistic friend
Plus using my older brother's save file so i could use the legendary vehicles as much as I wanted - fighting Dyna Bird with a Hydra was cool as hell

more vehicles/reworked vehicles so they scale better with different stats
wagon benefits from boost as much as top speed for increasing its speed, so id like to see for example a vehicle that splits some of its speed increase with offense if its an offensively-based vehicle

i actually wouldnt be surprised if sakurai makes a mechanic where top speed is removed/nerfed and instead your vehicle increases in speed very slightly for each patch obtained
so the game isnt so top speed leaned in city trial

id like a city trial map where there are more patches/benefits locked behind areas that require certain stats to acquire
like how the volcano has caverns you can break to enter, id like to see areas of the map that can only be accessed once you have enough glide/offense/boost/turn etc
not a 'hard' threshold like a gate with a number and a patch symbol next to it, but for example with turn some sort of terrain that requires very quick turning to enter with any sort of speed

The music for air ride was made for the anime in mind (which sakurai was in charge of) and the game is full of references to Adventure and Superstar (games he made).

It wouldnt hurt to acknowledge better games in the series like Robobot.

thats something i hadnt thought of before, i was just thinking four but i think eight to twelve would be fine
there would definitely be a lot of early match fighting though and the map would have to be a decent bit bigger so that item spawns wouldnt be too infrequent

prob eight would be best for a map like normal city trial, just have increased item spawns
anything higher and i think youd need a bigger map
