I think Street Fighter V was the end of good fighting game casts. Now you're forced to get small casts of characters full of nobody anyone wants to use and the DLC is also filled with characters nobody wants to use. Dix, City of the Flops and Kekken all have this problem. Maybe Gllty Gear is the same but I'm not on troonshine so I wouldn't know.
I think Street Fighter V was the end of good fighting game casts. Season 3 upped it's retention more than anything else due it being nothing but normal and straightforward characters people loved or wanted to fuck.
