they're honestly really cool and they're good when you're emulating a game that comes from that console but they're a little overpriced even including inflation

>>713205226 Most expensive is Gamecube at $65, but yeah they are expensive. That's the biggest catch.
They feel identical to their original versions though. N64 even has the grindy stick

The battery inside each of them will eventually swell up
>>713206181 Everything except the Gamecube connects flawlessly now, just a matter of time for that one since it just came out

>>713205156 (OP) They're overpriced, require a subscription to even be eligible to purchase (the highest tier one?), and they are limited to 1 per account.
>>713205156 (OP) I'm genuinely shocked I don't see these discussed more. When they're not produced anymore these are going to be holy grails

>>713206248 >They're overpriced fair >require a subscription to even be eligible to purchase (the highest tier one?) Just the normal one but yeah still dumb >they are limited to 1 per account. Just at launch, only the gamecube has a limit now.

>>713206043 Considering the GameCube is the one in the spotlight right now (and presumably once Smash 6 comes out it will be even more prominent) you're probably fine just getting one now.
>every Nintendo controller shows up as its proper controller in the menu >Genesis controller shows up as a normal pro controller kek even after all these years Nintendo can't just treat them the same

>>713206493 I played through the entirety of Wonder using the snes controller and don't think I can any other way now
>>713205156 (OP) Its impossible to charge the NES controller if you're playing with a Switch 2. Fucking retarded design decision they only did because they thought it'd be cute, now you have to either get a third party charging station or wait for them to re-release them

>>713206542 i have that n64 and gamecube ones but i never had a snes is the dpad on it better than the pro controller?
They are pretty good and mostly faithful to the originals. Too faithful even. The N64 Switch controller is using the exact same stick that the original N64 used with all the known downsides.
>>713206830 It's exactly like the SNES dpad which is known for being the best dpad of all time. Switch 2 pro d-pad is pretty great though

>>713206493 >>713206762 How does "officially licensed" work for something like that. Nintendo has everything they need to properly recreate a controller exactly the way it was, but can a third party?
>>713208982 I just kind of want for the novelty I bought the n64 controller and the only game I actually played through on the switch emulator was paper mario
