You DO back them up regularly, right? For me, it's every Sunday, whether it's copying save files to extra cards (Saturn, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast) or to a thumb drive as well as the cloud (PS4 and PS5)
Your console died and you lost hundreds of hours of progress? Sucks to be you.

Cringe. Fine, backing up your STEAM games (whichever doesn't have cloud saves) to an external drive or some shit. I don't care, just keep your shit backed up.

my save files disappear when I finish a game
if I want to play it again, I'll start from scratch

Dangerously based. I'd never even consider this, but more power to you.

After losing memory cards growing up, this has become my philosophy. I just power through the entire game from scratch every time instead of play a nearly-completed save when I want, and I've gotten really good at blitzing through the early game for just about anything I play.

Based. I refuse to keep multiple save files in a single playthrough in RPGs even if there are route splits or missable content.
The only exception I make is RPGmaker hgame slop.

>Care about any 100% save file I have
>Will never even load it again, will always start new games from scratch
Why am I like this?
