The main reason why it deserves whining about is bc 2k's shitty launchers have a fucking mod menu and it DOESN'T FUCKING DO ANYTHING. Literally lists all the shit you downloaded from steam workshop, you click launch and then it just launches the game with nothing

I wanted to replay it for the first time in a long time a week or two ago and the shitty thing 2k replaced it with still does it. Completely useless so I immediately uninstalled

I'm playing it right now and it's quite impressive how hard they try to bait you into buying DLC for a 13(thirteen)yo game

The EULA says "we can steal your data" but doesn't say how.
There's no kernel-level anticheat or other software. The most it can detect is how long you play the game and any info you willingly submit when making a Shift account. It can't even detect any game modifications because the only thing Shift does is send you gold/plat keys and the occasional loot item.
