>You see, I'm not into those things called "video games", but I have a nephew who told me about 'em, amazing stuff really.
>and after seeing your PC? yeah that bulky thing that lights fireworks everywhere? You must be a hardcore video gamer I reckon.
>so there's this small question that wonders me.. and I'm afraid if I didn't know the answer I wouldn't get any sleep tonight...

>why are you so bad at video games? despite the long play hours.

Are you insane? I'll have your badge for accusing me. You should know I beat Dark Souls... without a guide. That's right, I walked right past the drake sword in undead parish, didn't even stop to shoot the tail.
How do you explain that?

Repetition doesn't necessarily make someone good, especially if they're retarded and don't learn from their mistakes.

Ohhh, gee, sir, I’m real sorry to bother you again, I know you’re a busy man and all, and heck, beating Dark Souls without a guide? That's—wow, that's somethin'. I mean, I get lost just lookin' at a map of that place, you know? And the drake sword? I didn’t even know you could miss that, hah... You must’ve really known your way around.

It’s just—ah, and I hate to bring it up—there’s this one little thing that’s been naggin’ at me. Just a small detail, probably nothing. See, you said you walked right past the drake sword, didn’t stop to shoot the tail. But... that means you’d have to go across the bridge. Past the dragon.

Now, I’m sure a guy like you could handle that, no problem. So I just keep wonderin’—if you didn’t have a guide... how’d you know you could shoot the tail?

That’s the part I just can’t seem to get straight in my head.

>oh one last thing sir, you told me earlier that movie games are shit for casual tourists and gameplay is king, correct? now that's funny, my wife she loves her movie games, she does, those and animal crossing, she can't stop playing those... but uh you see I took a look at your game library and uh all I found were virtual novels and jrpgs... now isn't that something?

Oh
Well you see, lieutenant, the opening three hours of this game are just so... comfy.
You see, I start the game, get about two, two and a half hours in, and realize if I go any further, this feeling of... I dunno, burgeoning adventure, of taking life in your hands, of deciding the direction of your life, will fall into the rut of the rest of the game.
So I start over, lieutenant. I start over every few hours. That comfy opening atmosphere is, well, it's all I really want in life.
