I can’t play chapter 3 yet since I wiped my save files so I was replaying chapter 1 and catching up.
I noticed that he remade the chapter?
It plays the same but some things are gone like Tonika in the intro and you don’t have options in some scene with the party members.
The one I’m a bit mad about is that one pixie girl you could save in the corrupted forest before, now if you do the quest she’s just dead and you can only bring her amulet back to her friend instead, really not a fan of that one.

It's a turn based RPG.
The gameplay's alright.
For combat you got 3 health pools you use, Speed, Attack and I think Shield.
It's flipped each turn which one "tanks" the damage you take, when they all run out your character's out.
You lose Speed HP = lower speed and you go later than the others, lower attack = lower damage and shield is closer to real health.
It's overall not TOO hard but some fights are a decent challenge.

I have been working on this game for 10 years and it was a long and exhausting journey, filled with a lot of problems, dilemmas etc., that consumers of media have no idea about. The straw that broke the camels back is that I personally met the fans of the game.

He did already revamp/improve the combat system before, but I do agree with him that the game's identity had to choose between anime harem hijinks and schizokino; they get into each other's way in the writing a lot and he seems to have gotten buttfrustrated between trying to write what he wants and pandering to his base.
Not to say horror games can't have eroticism, but balancing it is hard to do and if Stroj feels he isn't up to it then it's better for him to prioritize than to deliver an even bigger clusterfuck.

Aha, sure. So he is aware that he removed a significant aspect that made the game intriguing, yet he still expects people to care about any future developments. This is despite the fact that he could easily undermine any potential investment in his story at any given moment. And at the end of the day, what are you left with? Before this recent update, the game featured boring, repetitive combat, decent writing, and very unique ideas that bizarrely blended horror and eroticism, along with captivating character interactions. Now, however, it feels like a broken amalgamation of narratives that clash and contradict each other, because the Dev didn't fully commit to removing the elements he finds problematic, or something, I honestly can't follow his broken train of thoughts.
