the only games it's decent at running are MMO's as they're mostly CPU based. WoW, FF14 and Runelite all support Apple silicon natively, but then then you'll have to turn down the more graphically intensive settings, but the main slowdown with MMO's which are rendering players which it does really well
in the absolute BEST case scenario, the M3 Ultra - a 3k chip performs marginally worse than a 4070
at its worst, and its worst being the average - it does not support DX12 shader pipeline caching, so almost every modern game will stutter an insane amount
the M1 also has no ray tracing support which we're seeing modern games require baseline now
like just don't ever buy a mac for gaming, you will be massively disappointed
