Japan has been on a steep decline ever since 7th gen consoles. They have had some good games here and there, but please, compare them to how they were before that and you'll see that there is simply no comparison. Japan has fallen behind in many sectors such as tech, video games, and with trumps tariffs it may look to be cars as well. China and SK has taken over most of those markets. Japan is finished.
