>>713246971 (OP)If you are in need of mental health support in the United States, several hotlines are available to provide assistance. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national number that connects individuals to crisis counselors across the country. This number replaced the previous 10-digit number, making it easier to remember during a crisis.
In addition to 988, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline can still be reached at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) also offers a HelpLine at 1-800-950-NAMI, or by texting "HELPLINE" to 62640, which is available between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET, MondayโFriday.
For those experiencing a mental health crisis, the NAMI HelpLine provides free, nationwide peer-support services, offering information, resource referrals, and support to people living with a mental health condition, their family members, and caregivers.
If you are in a life-threatening situation, it is recommended to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
