Man I'm happy I never have to play these games again. I put well over 100 hours on both games. Remake is either going to cut out lots of unnecessary babble or just outright remove content. No need to even play these.

The remake has 1 HUGE drawback, the english dub is all returning voices from a 20 year old game. And unfortunately the voice that matters the most, Estelle, sounds terrible while everyone else sounds good. To the point that a diehard dubfag like me is probably gonna play with subs for the first time in a trails game. Liking Estelle is mandatory to enjoy Sky.

Azure has some of the best moments in the series but it's also the game that started a lot of the dumb decisions that we would see being exacerbated in future entries.
Despite being much slower paced I still think Zero is the better entry, the characters were all much better used and the story was kept low stakes while really digging into the political landscape of Crossbell.

the game itself aims for a pre-teen audience with violence where nobody ever gets hurt. But the story stakes and themes and characters are constantly so serious and extreme
