Digimon designs border on being offensively bad. The average is on the tier of the worst Pokémon designs.
Digimon gameplay is bland mill slop that doesn't try to do anything interesting like Pokémon. So you might as well go play SMT, Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest Monsters, or an old Final Fantasy or any of the million indie games that take inspiration from either.

There's nothing wrong with a 1.5x damage boost from the rock paper system, when it's not the only multiplier in play when it has a separate by-monster weakness/resistant application of elements.
It's not like pokemon where they basically do 3x damage if it's using it's own type against something weak to it.

I'll believe it when I play it. Cyber Sleuth's gameplay was extremely dull, the only entertaining part was grinding evolutions. The battle system has less depth than Pokemon's.
