>game gets patched for years >still mid >combat feels like a budget Deus Ex with neon puke smeared over it >story was hyped to hell and back, ends up being a snoozefest with corpo LARPing >meanwhile fanboys deepthroat CDPR like they didn’t get lied to for months >“b-but the DLC fixes it!” >nah man, cope harder

This, I know some people who just inherently like it for what it is and have since it launched, but I know far more people who basically gaslit themselves into liking it because of the anime, it's like if someone made the worst harry potter game in the world like a year before the first movie adaptation came out and suddenly everyone would want to play that game to exist in the world they liked from the movie.
My controversial opinion is that Devil Daggers is overrated as fuck. I find it strange that a niche arcade score game like this has such overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Your favorite roguelike. It's gambling. You're wasting 20min to over an hour on every reroll, but that's what you're doing: just slowly rolling a dice over and over hoping for the dopamine high of getting OP loot and easy enemies.

the entire project moon library
the black souls series
both of the fear and hunger games
i played all of these games, finshed them and now understand deeply why they're flawed~horrible games, I've went in depth shitting on them in several threads in the past but have now come to ignore them, i believe I'm past posting and sharing my opinions because it feels pointless on some level

Maybe for some, but for me I've always enjoyed trying to make bad things work good. Or go hard on unorthodox and inefficient builds. And while roguelikes don't really scratch that itch, it can be a similar kind of thing
>>713257746 >just monetize your opinions via eceleb-slop,
i actually opened up to 2 buddies of mine about making a review channel and both cut me off on 2 seprate occasions because they didn't care. it feels like too much effort for no guaranteed return(this makes me less motivated) and the bigger problem is i wouldn't know where to start. ultimately i might end up doing it if only to have a place to vent out my thoughts and share my feelings about shitty games, you almost never get a chance to go into detail about why a game is bad while explaining it to someone. >even if people hate it you still get money.
how many views would you need to get money anyways? i can't imagine myself going past 100K at the absolute best.

FFIX is the only game in the franchise i havent heard a single negative thing about, but i fucking hated the game. Had to force myself to keep playing at multiple points, and even considered turning on the cheats to slog through the horrible combat. In the end i quit like 30% through the game. It was just pure misery and i got nothing out of it
Outer wilds starts good, but then you realize the "puzzles" are timed events. You aren't solving any puzzle, you are just doing x in time t to unlock y
