You get to play it on PS1 so there's no slowdown and there's spell quotes. It also replaces the faggot Luso with Ashley Riot. If you like the WoTL translation than there's a side patch that adds it in as well if you want. Only downside is there's no Onion Knight, but everything else is intact plus you can play the rendezvous maps without multi-player.

Enhanced in the Japanese version means changing the script to match the voice actors. The voice actor for Algus literrally told Matsuno "this is how it's done", when voicing his lines. He played the original a lot. The Olan voice actor is the same one for Denam in Reborn, but he didn't get a lot of lines so he asked Matsuno for more, so he got to do most of the spell generic voice lines. Most of that is from the Famitsu interview from 6/17/2025.

The problem with both versions is that they don't have proper widescreen(let alone ultra widescreen) support. The original with that mod fixes the sound effects, fixes the slowdown, has some of the original content WOTL cut, and fixes the stretching but then you're stuck at 4:3.
