This remake is a bad idea. If it's bad, it'll murder the halo IP for good. If it's good, it'll still be filled with a tonne of changes from the original halo games, essentially de-canonising them. imagine they do something incredibly stupid, like writing the forerunners as aliens instead of ancient humans or something. we'd be stuck with this canon with no going back without yet another reboot. they should've just made a new halo 4 and rebooted the franchise from post halo 3. make the old games the backstory for the new lore, and include a quick animated breakdown of the events of those games in the new game for newbies unfamiliar with the franchise. or if they're lazy even just a star wars scrolling text at the start will suffice. over all, i really think this remake is a bad idea.

It's a great idea, it'll finally get you Halo autist whether you're the 2001-2010 kind or the 2011-2021 kind to finally shut the hell up. A full-blown remake is a way to finally fix Halo's campaigns making them more like classic PC and N64 FPSs in both gameplay and level design over that baby shit Halo was since the beginning. They can also add some of the good gameplay elements from the trilogy in their and bring back Warthog Runs to make it an end-game standard. New weapons, vehicles, grenades, enemy types, and boss fights are warranted. Take more from Doom 2016 and Eternal and less from COD and its old self. It'll make Halo into a proper video game for gamers over trash for normalfags.

If you don't pay attention to the story of the games you are playing, you will absolutelly have a negative reaction whenever they introduce more story into them.
Because to you it's all fucking alien. You don't know the characters, their reasons, the lore behind everything. And then you will be always asking for this shit to be rebooted to accomodate your needs.

Halo CE is still perfectly playable and if you're a zoomzoom that's allergic to atmosphere and proper art style direction then you can just enable modern graphics mode.

Infinite was a step in the right direction, somewhat returns to CE and goes back to grabbing elements from PC and console shooters of the 90s while taking elements from Doom 2016.
