I decided to finally join aging altar publics and got light dmg on light bow in 1, dark damage on dark sword in 2, and dark damage on dark staff in 5. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be good aging on fish poles and farming hoes.

My combination is 1 combat and 2 crafters, the only time you will need a gatherer is attempting a high lvl grove and you can switch them before picking the floor.

The first game is more straight forward with progression, you are literally gated by the story, switching lives (and equipment) is done manually, however you can still complete gathering life missions as a combat life.

Don't try to fight at mid-range, all the 3 following bosses can punish you pretty hard for it, the last one can even 1 hit kill you with one of it's mid-range moves.

Yep, they balanced those fights with paladin on mind.

As far as I’m aware it’s just called Bench Press, he’s got it in his house and a steam guide does say he gives it to you.

The random weapon/tool drops are actually coming in handy now, towards the very end of the game.
