What's the most fun vocation?

All of them except Mage.
You are supposed to switch vocations often, no reason to stick to one for the entire playthrough.

I actually started with mage and trained my Pawn as a mage, no knowing people didn't like it, and had a great time.

For me it's definately Fighter, and also assassin.
Recently started to warm up to fighter, once I stopped jump slashing everything it became a lot more fun.

If you want easy mode, Sorcerer. Cast holy affinity on yourself and use the archstaff's charge attack over and over again. If you want to be more active than that, Strider or Assassin. A lot of people say Mystic Knight but I didn't like it since you can't control what your magic cannon bolts target.

If you're playing DD2 (why) then I liked Warfarer with daggers and a bow the most

80% of mk spells are completely worthless, and they're close range so you can't even cast them anyway without getting knocked on your ass or taking unnecessary damage.

So there's one viable playstyle. Spam magic cannon and ruinous sigil. Which is strong, but requires 4 casts (weapon buff, 2 cannons, ruinous sigil), and even them there's a chance the ruinous sigil interaction doesn't work and you barely do more damage then if you'd just been meleeing the whole time.

And if you're just going to spam projectiles, why tf wouldn't you just play a pure bow or caster class?

I made a twink in this game with long skinny legs. Gave him the thong you get from Cassardis. The rest of his armor is all sexy golds and reds. Ranger profession so when he shoots his bow he stands and sticks his legs out to show off his legs.

Mage is just Sorcerer without the coolest spells.

There is nothing wrong with starting as mage and you still get plenty of good spells.
Casting the massive big flashy spells isn't always the best option anyway.
However, healing and buffing is only so fun for a while and it's best left to the pawns.
