I know they didnt really have any actual quests I mean they had a good 4 hour quest line but thats about it for most of these but I wanted to say I think the reason everybody remembers them and the ones in Fallout New Vegas and the ones in Skyrim and Morrowind is because they weren't dlcs they were actual expansion packs and the last game that had an expansion pack that added anything was cyberpunk

Slavers have taken over Pittsburgh because her brotherhood of steel initiate got stuck there after showing the slavers that he was actually competent and not fully a tard they bowed down before him in what was a chaotic raider breeding ground of Pittsburgh changed into being slightly more civilized however now he needs to take Pittsburgh from being a raider city or wants to into being a major steel producing city city sort of the same idea as Caesar except Caesar already has new Vegas in this scenario asher just doesn't have the slaves

They really skimped on the writing for this dlc and put all the time and money into creating location. It's a shame because the setting is so fucking cool, but the quests and story fall incredibly short.

It's also bizarre, you finally get to that 3rd area in the game and its this big elaborate setting with tons of verticality, the huge main building and even buildings off to the side you can enter but they do nothing with this place, you go there once for one quest and then its time to escape

I have to agree with this it felt the same way in point lookout too I know there's a lot of other stuff you can find on the island but with most of it having to deal with Desmond and The brain, or whatever his name was. I wonder if, although I'm never gonna actually find out, but I wonder if fallout 76 is version of Pittsburgh and is any good.

To be honest, And I have no idea how good this sounds. As I'm writing this out. I would have preferred fallout 4. And in general, fallout three a lot If they leaned heavily on you being more super cartoony evil. I'm glad that fallout 4 gave you the option to side with the institute But the institute's reason for being evil wasn't even 1/10 as fun as the enclaves. Or two tenths as fun as bringing my companions into the river. and watching them die.

I didn't get that feeling in Point Lookout. I thought it did a much better job pacing itself and letting you spend time in that location and breathe it all in. It's also cool how every quest in that DLC kind of has an air of mystery to them, very cool atmosphere. Only thing I really think is a weak point of it is the ending and how abrupt it feels, you have no option but to kill the big brain there's no interesting conversation, no nothing just kill and end the story

Point Lookout and The Pitt are the only worthwhile DLC in Fallout 3. Operation Anchorage is an overhated nothing burger. Mothership Zeta is boring and clunky. Broken Steel ruins your game.

The Pitt would almost be perfect if the "twist" of the plot wasn't so forced. Do you kidnap a baby for the butthurt ex-raider who swears he's a good guy? Or do you side with the delusional raider boss daddy who swears slavery is just a means to an end? Combing the steelyard was a lot of fun, at least.

I like the headcanon that radiation is only deadly if you take too much, and otherwise you can get along just fine with some radaway, only poorfags who cant afford it die of radiation sickness

It explains the gaping plot hole of ghouls existing, specially prewar ghouls, constantly being irradiated and flushing it out slowly mutates you into an immortal zombie thing

This just kinda proves it was a real moral dilemma because even assuming Ashur IS full of shit, he has a much higher chance of successfully curing the disease and I side with him most of the time. Ashur is a former Knight or Paladin of the BOS and his wife is a ltieral scientist, Wehrner ias some nobody who is going to stick the magic cure baby in a rusty worn down building and somehow figure out how to synthesize a treatment from it before the thing dies from the dozens of infections it's gonna get from that environment.

wernher is morally worse than ashur.
in fact i'd argue his ending is worse and less likely to effect any positive change

Fallout 3 feels like a product of its time where a lot of games had pretty simplistic morality systems like Fable, Bioshock, and Infamous. All the morality has to either be altruistically good or over the top bad. In New Vegas karma is a complete non-factor asides from Cass being the only character to give a shit about it while it's also incredibly easy to unintentionally farm good karma

Brotherhood tends to be quite naive. Whether they're doing good or evil, their extremely sheltered, ideologically-indoctrinated lives make them kind of hapless retards

That's a hell of a big "if"
