>dogshit controls (double d-pad is forced dash you can't disable while also having a dedicated button??? Having to mash fire in a game with constant jumping just feels like shit)
>easy, forgettable levels
>one-note bosses that get nuked by their weaknesses while you just stand there and facetank their damage
>subweapons are way too strong (and extremely unbalanced) and nuke enemies with zero effort
>game is way too easy, unlimited continues, and has way too many upgrades that trivialize the difficulty. Between perma HP upgrades, armor, and sub-tanks, you can literally get like 16x the starting HP.
>final boss is extremely underwhelming, and just has ridiculous damage to compensate for his extremely basic moveset (the second phase in particular is pure garbage, where you just jump up, shoot him, jump down dozens of times while he does the same loop)
>inconsistent RNG item drops and time-wasting farming for item drops or sub-tank refills
